Born in Hasselt, Bart fell immediately in love with Bruges, the “Venice of the North,” during his youth.
He was touched not only by its beauty but by its feeling its warmth, atmosphere, and energy. A certainty emerged: one day, he would live there. This dream became reality when he moved to Zedelgem, the starting point of a major entrepreneurial and human adventure.
Gifted with the nature of a builder and a spirit of innovation shared with his twin brother Joost, Bart refused to choose between aesthetics and performance. His studies in design, technology (automation), and interior architecture shaped his unique vision: a creation is only truly successful if it functions perfectly while providing emotion.
A decisive turning point came in 2007, during the Batibouw trade fair. While observing visitors at his stand, Bart realized the true scope of his work. He wasn’t selling “products” — he was creating moments. He saw families slow down, eyes light up, and people draw closer together. That’s when his mission became clear.
In a world that keeps accelerating, filled with screens and where silence is becoming rare, M-Design is committed to bringing the essential back to the heart of the home. Innovation never happens by chance; it requires work, courage, and vision. Bart fought to defend his innovations, not out of ego, but out of conviction.
